DE-ICING SALT
Salt you can rely on in winter. We supply regional authorities, cities and companies across the Czech Republic — full truckloads, big bags and pallets of bagged salt.
About our de-icing salt
We offer de-icing salt for spreading on roads, public routes, car parks and pavements, as well as for preparing brine solutions for winter maintenance. Our product carries all the required documentation and is backed by references from customers who buy approximately 200 000 tonnes of de-icing salt from us every year. Thanks to our infrastructure, we guarantee deliveries with the highest quality parameters — and secure supplies for regular customers even during the winter peak season.

Frequently asked questions
What customers ask most often before ordering de-icing salt
How much de-icing salt should I spread per m²?
The standard rate is 20 g/m² — the minimum dosage under Czech road maintenance regulations (Decree No. 104/1997 Coll., Annex 7). Around 10 g/m² is enough as a preventive treatment before snowfall; for ice and compacted snow the rate increases up to 40 g/m².
Down to what temperature does de-icing salt work?
Regular de-icing salt melts reliably down to about −7 °C. For harder frosts we supply magnesium chloride (effective down to −35 °C) and calcium chloride with a fast de-icing action.
What packaging do you supply and what is the minimum order?
Bags of 5, 10 and 25 kg on a 1,000 kg pallet, Big Bags of 1,000 kg, and loose salt from 5 tonnes. The minimum delivery is 1 pallet.
How should salt be stored to prevent caking?
Dry and in a closed package — salt is hygroscopic and absorbs air humidity. Protect pallets and Big Bags from rain and close opened bags after use.
What is the difference between salt, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride?
De-icing salt is the most economical choice for common frosts. Magnesium chloride works down to −35 °C and is gentler on surfaces and greenery. Calcium chloride has the fastest action in severe frost. Tablet salt is used for water treatment, not for gritting.
