When to Use Which
Magnesium chloride MgCl₂ — extreme frost and sensitive surfaces
When temperatures drop below the point where ordinary de-icing salt stops working, MgCl₂ reliably melts snow and ice down to −35 °C. The melting reaction starts immediately and the surface stays clean, with no slush. It is gentle on surfaces and surrounding greenery, which makes it ideal for pavements, squares and areas around lawns and flower beds.
Calcium chloride CaCl₂ — fast action without corrosion
A more effective alternative to de-icing salt for typical winters — it works down to −20 °C with a fast, long-lasting effect. It leaves no deposits and causes no corrosion, so it is safe for pavements, driveways, car parks and company premises. A good choice wherever the white residue left by regular salt is a problem.
Salt tablets — for water softening, not for spreading
Tablets pressed from evaporated salt with an anti-caking agent content below 3 mg/kg, free of mechanical impurities and odour. They belong in water softeners and water treatment systems — domestic and industrial units, washing lines and boiler rooms, where hard water creates limescale, reduces heating efficiency and increases fuel consumption.

What packaging do you supply and what is the minimum order?
25 kg bags on pallets and Big Bags. The minimum delivery is 1 pallet.
How should chlorides be stored?
Dry and in a closed package — chlorides are strongly hygroscopic and absorb air humidity on their own. Protect Big Bags and pallets from rain and always close opened bags after use.
Are chlorides safe for paving, greenery and pets?
With correct dosing they are gentler on surfaces and greenery than regular salt — which is why magnesium chloride is used where this matters. Even so, spread sparingly.
